Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) TBIPS is a GC procurement vehicle that is completely dedicated to IT categories. It was introduced to consolidate and replace the variety of generalist procurement vehicles that were formerly used for IT services. TBIPS is now widely used by government departments. TBIPS does not have a dollar maximum and contracts can be structured with a provision for option years, thereby facilitating contract extensions when required. TBIPS has two categories: 1) the TBIPS Standing Offer (SO) establishes a hierarchy of firms who have qualified in a particular category and level, from the lowest rate to the highest. Department requirements will be offered to the firm with the lowest rate, who will have three days to either submit a compliant resource at the ceiling rate or pass on the requirement. Should they pass, the firm with the second lowest rate will then have three days to respond or pass, and this process will continue until a compliant candidate is identified. The crown must accept the first candidate meeting the stated mandatory requirements. Under the SO, ipss is qualified in the following categories: - I.2 Database Administrator (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- I.5 IM Architect (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- I.8 Storage Architect (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- I.9 System Administrator (Levels 1 and 2)
- I.11 Technology Architect (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- I.14 Security Specialist (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- I.15 SSL Specialist (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
- P.2 Enterprise Architect (Levels 2 and 3)
- P.9 Project Manager (Level 3)
2) the TBIPS Supply Arrangement (SA) allows multiple firms to compete against each other. Government departments will identify specific mandatory and/or rated requirements for positions. Firms will bid compliant resources and usually the lowest cost-per-point candidate is chosen to fill the contract. ipss is qualified in the following SA categories: - I.2 Database Administrator (Levels 1, 2 and 3)
